POSITION SUMMARY:
IPG's first and only consulting led business, Black Glass is an
agile marketing consultancy, delivering practical, easy to
implement strategic guidance that will have rapid, evident,
effective and efficient impact on companies, their brands, and
customers. Powered by the world's largest source of customer data,
we turn consumer needs into commercial outcomes, through a process
we call Radical ClarityTM that works at the speed of the consumer
to increase growth, reduce costs, and actualize results.
Our process includes using data from IPG's data hub Acxiom and
other sources and using financial modeling to develop frameworks
with accuracy and practicality for every stage of goals and
growth.
We are in search of a Director-level hire who can help us develop
in two key areas:
- Client Delivery: Drive new client projects forward through to
completion, managing the development and delivery of the agreed
deliverables such as frameworks, tools, diagnostics, insights
summaries, and executive presentations. Own client scopes and
project plans with high attention to detail.
- Strategic Impact: Support creation of strategic IP and thought
leadership. Have a strong POV and pulse on the market that allow
you to bring strategic insights to your clients and CMOs.
Your daily experience will include:
- A small, supportive team tracking with you as you work on up to
two projects at a time under the leadership of our Sr.
Directors.
- A minute-by-minute focus on what's important to global CMOs -
you will work exclusively on their biggest challenges, both
personal and professional.
- An environment where an entrepreneur will thrive with lots of
testing and learning, optimizing and pivoting in search of the best
output / path forward.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Delivery: Ability to produce a high-quality work product and
collaborate with others to deliver a superior client experience
related to marketing, org design, and business strategy.
- Intuitive Business Knowledge: Ability to understand how
business functions operate and how sector trends impact a client's
business.
- Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to select
appropriate methods for collecting and analyzing data and develop
informed recommendations that shape or support the client's
business strategy.
- Financial Acumen: Ability to incorporate financial information
when evaluating strategic options.
- Client Presence: Ability to deliver key messages with clarity,
confidence, and poise to instill confidence in clients, especially
C-Suite executives.
- Logic: Ability to organize insights and define a logical flow
to tell a story when creating, refining, and presenting
recommendations.
- Marketing: We are focused entirely on the Marketing function,
so practical experience is a must-have.
- Technology: You'll need to be a pro at GSuite, HubSpot,
Typeform, and Slack. Experience with no-code tools for automation,
like Zapier, is a huge plus.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in at an agency,
Fortune 500 company, or consultancy, especially within the travel
or financial services industry.
- Strong relationship building, collaboration and partnering
skills
- Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or
problems into well-defined plans and solutions
- Experience leading effective collaboration across a team of
project managers focusing on different functional areas for the
same project
- Ability to work independently and multi-task
- Ability to prioritize work, achieve goals, and work under
pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Strong time management skills, attention to detail and ability
to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal
communication
- BA/BS experience preferred
NYC SALARY RANGE:
The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000. Where
an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will
depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former
employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary
considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to
current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's
background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
