Job Description:
An established commercial insurance company is looking for a
hard-working Commercial Insurance/ Personal Lines Account Manager
for their Brooklyn, NY branch. After nearly a decade of providing
their clients with quality service and quality products, their goal
remains the same, to ensure that their clients are insured properly
and sufficiently. They work with the leading insurance companies in
the industry as well as a labyrinth of other companies. They work
diligently and efficiently to properly tailor their client's
policies, helping them to protect their assets and their
businesses.They value integrity and reliability; therefore, the
company ensures dependable & high-quality service to their
clients.Responsibilities:
- The Account Executive will provide a high level of sales
support to the Producer and customer service to clients.
- The position requires a significant degree of independent
judgment and discretion to meet those service levels.
- The Account Executive will assist in the production of new and
renewal accounts in keeping with Agency and individual Producer
goals and provide field service in support of Producer
activities.
- The Account Executive is responsible for assisting clients with
service needs and making changes to existing accounts.
- Responds to client requests for policy changes, billing
inquiries, and verification of coverage.
- Ensures that these items are given to clients in a timely
manner.
- Maintains follow-up and suspense file on outstanding orders,
correspondence, claims, and renewal expirations.
- Checks new and renewal policies and endorsements for accuracy
in coverage.
- Determines reasons for requests for cancellations and acts to
retain accounts.
- If unable, secures Lost Policy Release and follows through to
policy cancellation.
- Participates in continuing professional development as required
by state licensing requirements and Agency guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
- Open to all candidates but 1-3 years Commercial Lines or
Personal Lines experience preferred.
- Professional communication, organization, and writing
skills.
- Experience in quoting and marketing new and existing accounts
is preferred.
- Proficient in completing applications, determining proper
coverage, and carrier placement is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Solid background in using Applied Epic (Preferred), Excel, and
Microsoft Word.
- Property and Casualty License Preferred; not required but must
be willing to obtain.
