NWSLV).About the Role:The Senior Director, Finance will play a
critical leadership role in driving the financial performance and
strategic direction of this key division within Dow Jones. You will
serve as a strategic financial advisor to the operating team,
providing insights and guidance to enable data-driven
decision-making and ensure the Energy business achieves its
financial and operational goals. You will report to the SVP,
Finance, and will have two direct reports. You will be based in New
York, NY, at our headquarters.You Will:P&L Ownership:
- Have full accountability for the P&L statement, ensuring
alignment with overall business objectives.
- Maximize revenue growth by leveraging financial insights to
develop innovative strategies, optimize product offerings, and
identify new market opportunities.
- Monitor and manage costs, ensuring operational efficiency and
margin optimization.Operational Excellence:
- Establish and track key performance indicators across revenue
and costs.
- Enhance financial reporting and data integrity to support
accurate decision-making.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments for optimal
resource and headcount management.
- Effectively integrate potential acquisitions into Dow Jones
Energy processes, ensuring alignment with existing operational
frameworks.Strategic Leadership:
- Serve as a key financial advisor to the Energy leadership team,
helping shape and balance short-term performance with long-term
strategic goals.
- Work closely with sales leadership and other cross-functional
leaders to pinpoint opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Lead the Budget and Long Range Plan strategic planning
process.
- Enhance collaboration across Dow Jones business units and
leverage enterprise-wide opportunities.Market and Competitive
Analysis:
- Understand industry trends, market changes, and competition to
inform business decisions.
- Deliver strategic insights and recommendations to leadership
based on thorough market analysis.You Have:
- Analytical Expertise: Exceptional analytical skills with the
ability to identify and address critical financial issues.
- Financial Modeling Proficiency: Advanced financial modeling
skills with high proficiency in Excel, enabling detailed and
strategic analysis.
- Operational & Strategic Insight: Strong operational background
with the capability to implement financial plans effectively.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, translating complex
data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, capable
of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organizational
levels.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a
related field.
- 15+ years of experience in financial roles with a track record
of progressive responsibility.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic financial
plans.
- Exceptional analytical and financial skills, adept in KPI
management.
- Leadership qualities that emphasize collaboration,
transparency, and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of inspiring and

Range: $185,000 - $230,000We recognize that attracting the best
