our efforts.Senior Managing Director of Quality
InitiativesCompensation Range: $110,000 - $130,000 yearly
commensurate with experience.Benefits:We have three comprehensive
healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and
budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion
based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a
total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees
an educational benefit. This money is available for tuition loan
reimbursement, tuition costs, and textbooks.Overview:The Director
of Quality Initiatives (DQS) is responsible for the implementation
of quality assurance and improvement projects as well as the lead
for compliance functions within the Housing Department. The
objective is to improve the quality of care for our supportive and
affordable housing clients through data-driven initiatives and to
monitor and ensure contractual compliance for the 25+ contracts
associated with the department.Responsibilities:Primary:
- Manage the Department's Quality Assurance projects, and
continually develop new projects as needed.Secondary:
- Develop and implement evaluation of housing programs, both for
residents and for key staff.KPIs:
- Implement a staff evaluation project to oversee individual
performance metrics and the standardization of staff goals.
- Update the department's Policy and Procedures manual
annually.Other Functions:
- Responsible for the implementation of clinical projects (CQI,
Show Rate, Incident Reporting, etc.) for the Department.
- Act as the lead representative for the Housing Department on
Quality Initiatives, Risk, and Compliance; and participate in
Housing Works' Safety and Security initiatives and provide
quarterly compliance reports based on the Department's
metrics.
- Facilitate internal chart reviews of housing programming on a
quarterly basis.
- Lead the department's Housing Inventory Count/ Point in Time
(HIC/PIT) efforts.
- Run basic reports from internal client documentation platform
(eIcare) and provide to teams for quality assurance.
- Create and collaborate on data presentations using Excel,
PowerPoint, and other data visualization tools.
- Manage the department's internal incident reporting via
Salesforce and ensure incidents are closed in accordance with the
best practices and agency guidelines.
- Assist with grant writing for the purpose of enhancing our
current portfolio.
- Perform special projects as requested by supervisor.
- Enthusiastically participate in advocacy and direct actions to
end the twin crises of homelessness and
HIV/AIDS.Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or
related field required, and at least three years of relevant
experience required in a social service setting that deals with
HIV/AIDS, homelessness, mental health issues, and/or substance
use.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and strategic skills.
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills and
strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written,
including the ability to communicate with all levels of
management.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, follow-up/follow through,
manage staff and report out appropriately.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and
PowerPoint.
- Understanding of harm-reduction practices and how to implement
them in daily client interactions.
- Experience with and knowledge of HIV/AIDS, homelessness, and
resources available in New York City.
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and administrative skills.
- Exemplary ability to manage multiple tasks using independent
judgment and discretion.
- Ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships with a
diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a team but also independently and accurately
in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal
contacts and always maintain client confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Good communication skills both verbally and written including
the ability to communicate with all levels of management and a
variety of stakeholders.
