You should have a deep understanding of tax accounting and risk exposure and be able to navigate all matters related to tax. You should also have some experience in general accounting practices.In this role, you will---

• Own corporate tax initiatives, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and optimizing tax strategies.
• Help the business optimize for Federal and State tax compliance including audits.
• Play a key role in our month-end close process, implementing best practices and improvements.
• Oversee the execution of proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, including those related to tax.
• Assist with the monthly balance sheet reconciliation reviews.
• Support the annual audit process including all matters related to tax.
• Support Accounting leadership in cross-functional projects and the enforcement of policies and procedures that impact financial statement close.
• Support finance/accounting system implementations.In terms of qualifications, we're seeking:
  • 7-10+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong understanding of corporate tax regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with Accounting Software, Quickbooks Online, and NetSuite is a plus.
  • Strong, comprehensive understanding of US GAAP.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • An expert in managing several high-priority projects simultaneously and time management skills.
  • Experience navigating unstructured environments, early-stage startups are a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, producing high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines.
