Job Description:
Archcare seeks a dynamic forward thinking, collaborative,
business-minded, and people-centric healthcare finance leader to
serve as the next System Chief Financial Officer. This position is
part of a succession plan due to the upcoming retirement of the
current System Chief Financial Officer (CFO). During the transition
this position reports to the current System Chief Financial Officer
(CFO).The next System CFO will be a strong leader with a proven
track record of success leading highly complex organizations,
preferably in both acute and post-acute spaces. He/she must be an
effective business strategist, highly collaborative, able to work
alongside the CEO and other senior leaders. Ability to define and
articulate a financial vision to a wide variety of stakeholders,
and provide balance between strategic and operational finance will
be critical to the future success of this executive.
- Plan, direct, and manage the overall financial performance,
financial policies, internal controls, accounting practices,
budgets, and financial reporting for a healthcare system
- Lead the Reimbursement, Decision Support, and Financial
Management departments, providing oversight and strategic
direction
- Develop consistent financial processes and workflows across all
facilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Oversee financial processes and functions, ensuring efficiency,
compliance, and strong internal controls
- Complete data requests, financial analysis, and budgeting, and
manage month-end and year-end closing responsibilities for the
Reimbursement and Decision Support departments
- Work closely with senior and executive leadership to ensure
optimal financial performance and support for strategic
initiativesJob Type: Full Time- in office 5 days a week
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is
required
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant healthcare financial
management experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a Finance leadership role within
Hospital System. Experience in New York State preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP) and familiarity with Financial Accounting Standards Board
(FASB) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)
guidelines
- Expertise in healthcare reimbursement and revenue cycle
management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a track
record of problem-solving and financial innovation
- Proven ability to build, lead, and coordinate an effective
financial team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demands while
maintaining a high level of performance
- Continuous awareness of changes in the healthcare industry and
their impact on financial operations
- Experience in improving revenue cycle effectiveness and driving
financial performance in healthcare organizations
