President (VP), Colleague Strategic Partner (HR Business Partner)
role will be joining the Global Servicing (GS) Colleague Strategic
Partner (CSP) Team which supports over 30,000 colleagues who
deliver on the promise of the American Express brand to back our
customers 24/7/365 around the world. The VP, Colleague Strategic
Partner is accountable for executing on our vision of delivering a
great colleague experience, growing the best talent, and partnering
with business leaders in the delivery of multiple strategic
priorities and projects. This role will support the Global Strategy
and Enablement Operations (GS&E) team as well as the Control
Management (CM) team that sit within Global Servicing. The GS&E
team is made up of more than 3,900 colleagues around the globe who
empower and enable the growth of American Express. This team brings
the GS vision to life by collaborating, innovating, and developing
valuable, scalable solutions, and balancing the needs of customers,
colleagues, and shareholders. In addition, the team delivers
best-in-class learning experiences, performance insights,
governance, and capacity planning across GS' global network.
GS&E also oversees the Gen AI strategy as the team explores
expanding use cases and serving as a critical partner with the
Technology, Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions, and Capabilities
teams to bring Gen AI to life in ways that will best service
colleagues and customers. The Control Management team is made up of
800 colleagues who are responsible for all core Operational Risk
Management functions across GS. The team works closely with the GS
operations leaders, as well as other first-line Control Management
teams across the company and our second and third-line partners, to
ensure we have a strong control environment and risk management
culture.Responsibilities
- Act as a key strategic thought-partner to business leader,
providing high impact consultation and solutions using a practical
and data-driven approach.
- Engaging actively in organizational effectiveness and change
efforts, serving as the expert in how change is led and
sustained.
- Build and drive a talent strategy that drives business
performance, nurtures a culture that supports agility, and develops
leaders who can lead, manage, and sustain change.
- Integrate inclusive leadership behaviors and build a workforce
that is representative of our customers and the communities in
which we operate.
- Set and hold a high bar for performance by defining high/low
performance and holding leaders accountable to managing their
talent against these standards, with a large focus on control and
compliance.
- Understand and improve the 'moments that matter' in the careers
of our colleagues.
- Design products, processes and tools informed by colleague data
and insights. Co-create with business leaders and CEG colleagues to
ensure the solutions meet business needs.
- Lead a team of one direct report.Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with
senior leaders, business partners and across CEG.
- Strategic thinking: develop ideas that drive meaningful
colleague experiences and competitive advantage.
- Business acumen: understand our business strategy, plans, and
the impact of internal and external factors.
- Experience in Human Resources Business Partner related
disciplines including but not limited to experience and
understanding of consulting, coaching, talent, recruitment,
performance, leadership and change management.
- Ability to coach and influence leadership and navigate
difficult conversations.
- Proven success in designing and delivering high-quality,
end-to-end, colleague-centric solutions that enable business
outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to use data to develop insights, make
decisions, create solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of multiple Human Resource disciplines, including
colleague labor relations, talent management, inclusion and
diversity, organizational effectiveness, compensation, and
leadership development.
- A global mindset and experience with large, complex client
groups across geographies
- Deep understanding of our business and talent across the
enterprise.Employment eligibility to work with American Express in
the U.S is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship
for these positions.Salary Range: $185,000.00 to $260,000.00
annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits.The above
represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
