Find us wherever there's a challenge to be tackled and an impact to be made.Our Energy & Resources practice are looking for an experienced Power Market Modeling Senior Consultant to Manager to join the team.In this role, you will be based out of our New York City office, working at the forefront of the energy transition alongside market specialists with deep industry knowledge where you will be able to deploy and then broaden your skill set and sector expertise.Our utilities and power market advisory teams gives our clients an unparalleled combination of energy market expertise and commercial insight. We are proud to work with the foremost policymakers, regulators, investors, developers, lenders, and utilities, supporting them across areas ranging from climate resiliency, new energy infrastructure investment, green power procurement, and clean molecule business cases. Led by a Senior Management Team respected as Thought Leaders within the industry, we help our clients shape, define and implement change in energy markets.What you will be doingYou will be deploying your expertise in transmission design and analysis across the following activities:

• Developing and running transmission models using industry-standard software to analyze power flow, contingency analysis, and grid reliability
• Advising generation project developers to assess interconnection options, transmission congestion, and grid impact studies
• Providing technical support for regional transmission planners by simulating various planning scenarios and analyzing system reliability
• Interpreting modeling results to generate actionable insights for clients, delivering clear reports and presentations
• Stay up-to-date on regulatory and market developments affecting transmission planning and operations
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including market analysts, policy experts, and engineers.Your skills and experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in transmission modeling and analysis
  • Proficiency in using transmission modeling software such as PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of power market operations, FERC regulations, and regional transmission planning processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
