*Manager of Respiratory Care*

*Responsibilities. *Under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Care, the manager
* Plans, administers, directs and coordinates the activities of the Respiratory Care Department.
* Manages the daily clinical and operational activities of the Respiratory Care staff, including scheduling, shift coverage, work assignments, and payroll preparation.
* Assesses, develops, and administers the education and competency programs for the Respiratory Care Department.
* Provides respiratory care education for other hospital departments.
* Assists in the measurement of clinical and other performance-related outcomes.
* Supports the department's quality and safety initiatives and regulatory readiness activities.

*Qualifications.*
* Five years of experience providing direct cardiopulmonary care in a hospital or healthcare setting.
* Two years of experience supervising respiratory care staff.
* Sleep study experience preferred.
* Licensed by the NYS Department of Education as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (or license-eligible).
* Must maintain current license.
* BLS certification required.
* PALS certification required.
* NBRC registration required.

*Education.*
* Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field required.

*Shift.*
* *Mid-shift*, covering part of the day and evening shifts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
