Ana Luisa is a fast-growing, Brooklyn-based jewelry brand

jewelry for all. As we expand our multi-channel distribution and
work towards exciting milestones, we're seeking an HR Director to
lead key HR functions, ensuring compliance, fostering a strong
company culture, and driving talent acquisition across our HQ and
fast-growing retail teams.About the jobAs the HR Director, you will
play a crucial role in developing and executing HR strategies that
support Ana Luisa's growth across multiple channels, with a focus
on retail. You will lead the entire HR function and own the
long-term people strategy across all departments, acting as a
thought partner to the leadership team. You will be responsible for
compliance, payroll, HR systems optimization, and fostering an
engaging workplace culture. You will report directly to the
CEO.What you'll be responsible for
- People Strategy & Organizational Design: Partner with the CEO
and Leadership Team to define the org structure that supports our
business objectives; lead long-term workforce planning and change
management initiatives.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Lead recruitment
efforts for Retail and HQ roles, refining hiring processes,
optimizing candidate experience, and collaborating with leadership
to develop workforce strategies.
- HR Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure adherence to federal,
state, and local labor laws, maintaining and updating policies to
reflect best practices and regulatory changes.
- Payroll Administration & HR Systems Optimization: Oversee
payroll processing to ensure accuracy and efficiency, while
managing and improving HR Information Systems (HRIS) to streamline
HR operations.
- Employee Relations & Performance Management: Partner with
managers to provide guidance on employee relations, establish
performance review frameworks, and implement initiatives to support
career growth and retention.
- Culture & Engagement Initiatives: Design and execute programs
that foster a positive workplace culture, including company-wide
engagement activities and employee experience improvements.
- Executive Coaching & Leadership Development: Provide strategic
HR guidance to senior leaders and implement leadership development
programs to strengthen internal capabilities.What you'll bring
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience with a track record of
leading an HR function in a fast-paced, scaling organization, with
a strong presence in retail.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and payroll
systems (Justworks).
- Experience working in both corporate and retail environments is
mandatory.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Lattice) and process optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to collaborate across teams.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to
problem-solving.
- Experience coaching senior leaders and scaling people
operations in a high-growth business.What you'll love about us
