Brooklyn, New York, Physical Medicine and Rehab Job

    • Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible physiatrist
    • Permanent job opening
    • Reason for need: physician relocation
    • Inpatient rehab
    • Acute care hospital setting
    • 30 bed rehab unit
    • Work along a service chief, another staff physiatrist, and two PAs
    • Unit typically runs at 77% occupancy
    • See 12-13 patients per day
    • You'd work Monday-Friday
    • No night call
    • You'd be responsible for morning rounds, hand offs to the medicine team in the evening, team conference 3x a week, family meetings patient discharge, documentation, face-to-face with each patient on the unit, etc.
    • You'd cover 10 weekends a year
    • You'd have one four hour session a week in an outpatient follow up setting
    • Most of the time these are your own patients who were discharged from rehab
    • EMR: EPIC
