When you join us as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.You Will:Performs high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.Assures proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.Starts intravenous lines or performs straight stick venipuncture for isotope injection.Administers radionuclide in a safe and effective manner.Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.Monitors patients well- being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.Maintains a nuclear medicine information system for all patient dosing, calibration, receiving and disposition, and all regulatory reports required by the RAM license.Under the direction of the radiologist, administers radiopharmaceuticals to detect or treat diseases using radioisotopes.If You Are:Passionate about patient care and exercise sound judgement and an ability to remain professional in all situations.You demonstrate effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills and respect with patients, guests & colleagues.You have a structured work-approach, understand complex problems and you are able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:Must have current ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification requiredMust have experience working in a high-volume setting.Requires a high school diploma or GED.Must have BLS/CPR certification.#MRNYWe Offer:Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision coverages.Health Savings Accounts with employer funding.Wellness dollars401(k) Employer MatchFree services at any of our imaging centers for you and your immediate family.Pay Range: USD $45.00 - USD $65.00 /per hour Shift: Flexibility Required Shift Variations: Varying shifts, evenings, days and weekendsby Jobble
