*Substance Abuse Therapist $55k-$65k annual salary! *Substance Abuse Therapists are needed for an *outpatient/community health* organization in *New York, NY*. Prior experience providing substance use disorder treatment, preferably in an outpatient or community health setting, is required*. *This is a *full-time direct hire* opportunity*. *Paid medical insurance and PTO offered. Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care are a must.-----We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Substance Abuse Therapist to join our clients team. The Substance Abuse Therapist will play a crucial role in providing individual and group therapy to clients struggling with substance abuse and addiction. This position requires either a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) with a CASAC credential, or a Master of Social Work (MSW) with substance abuse experience.*Responsibilities:** Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance abuse history, mental health status, and treatment needs.* Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable goals and objectives for recovery.* Provide evidence-based therapy modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to address substance abuse and related issues.* Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills development, and family dynamics in addiction.* Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, to coordinate care and ensure integrated treatment approaches.* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards and agency policies.* Monitor clients' progress throughout the course of treatment, adjusting interventions and goals as needed to support successful recovery outcomes.* Provide education and support to clients' families and significant others, engaging them in the treatment process and addressing their concerns and needs.* Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and developments in the field of substance abuse treatment, participating in ongoing training and professional development activities as required.*Requirements:** Bachelors Degree with a CASAC credential (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) *-OR-* Master of Social Work (MSW) with previous substance abuse experience.* Experience working in the field of substance abuse treatment, including knowledge of addiction recovery principles, treatment modalities, and relapse prevention strategies.* Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds._Atlas Search is a tri-state area recruitment agency, connecting new graduates, Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians and Nurse Leaders to hospitals, clinics, multi-specialty groups, nursing homes, managed care companies, private practices, and healthcare start-ups. __If you would like to learn more about the opportunities we offer, please submit your CV for consideration here.__#IndeedHC_Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearApplication Question(s):* What is the best phone number and email address to reach you?Experience:* Substance Abuse: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* CASAC or MSW (Preferred)Work Location: In personby Jobble
