The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating healthcare services for individuals with developmental disabilities. This position ensures that all nursing services are delivered in accordance with applicable regulations, best practices, and the organization's policies. The Nursing Supervisor will lead and mentor a team of nurses and direct care staff, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care in a safe and supportive environment.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provide clinical oversight and supervision to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and direct support professionals (DSPs).
* Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring that care meets the specific medical, emotional, and social needs of individuals.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
* Oversee compliance with policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations (e.g., OPWDD, CMS, DOH).
* Assess and monitor the health status of individuals, ensuring timely medical interventions and treatments.
* Administer and supervise the proper management of medications, treatments, and procedures in compliance with physician orders and protocols.
* Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping of health services provided, including maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards.
* Coordinate and oversee medical appointments, referrals, and follow-up care for individuals.
* Conduct regular audits and reviews of nursing practices to ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Participate in incident investigations and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences.
* Develop, implement, and monitor infection control and safety protocols to protect staff and individuals.
* Serve as a liaison between families, physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including behavioral specialists, therapists, and social workers, to enhance the overall well-being of individuals.
* Provide training and education to staff on medical protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities.

*Requirements:*
* Registered Nurse (RN) License in NY.
* Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health, or related populations.
* Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
* Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to developmental disabilities and healthcare.
* High level of compassion, empathy, and patience when working with individuals with diverse needs.
