seeking an innovative Middle and Upper School Computer Science /
STEM teacher to develop and teach both introductory and advanced
computer science classes. Our courses use a variety of programming
languages including block-based coding, JavaScript,
Processing/p5.js, Python, and Java. In addition, the computer
science teacher will assist with various extracurricular activities
and programs such as Vex Robotics, Girls Who Code, Rocketry, Game
Design Group, and Build a Ware. Additionally, we are looking for a
candidate who intentionally uses their teaching practice to build
and sustain an inclusive learning environment for all students. The
candidate must meet the needs of students across a range of
academic abilities and identities. Candidates with a background in
teaching mathematics, science, robotics, and/or maker courses are

Computer Science faculty collaborate with those in other
departments to explore opportunities for incorporation of computer
science into existing curricula. An ideal candidate is interested
in growing the computer science program for students to address
real problems with an understanding of the ways technology
intersects with society.Computer Science teacher candidates should
possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
or university in a computer science, engineering, math or
technology-related field. Advanced degree preferred.$63,500 -
