THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED IN NEW YORK CITY AND WILL TRAVEL 40% OF THE
TIME TO LOCATIONS ALONG THE EASTERN SEABOARD.

Established MSP client is seeking a dedicated Cisco Network &
Telecom Engineer. This person needs to be a team player with
exceptional communication skills. Maintaining the confidentiality
of the client's information is of utmost importance.
Education and Experience:
B.Sc. in Information Technology or higher preferred
Vendor-specific certifications pertaining to networking.
Hands-on experience working with Cisco Catalyst / Nexus switches
and Company routers.
Hands-on experience deploying/supporting Cisco Unified
Communications equipment
Possess hands-on experience designing, implementing, and
troubleshooting wired / wireless clients
Possess hands-on field experience with physically deploying /
troubleshooting network hardware.
Experience using packet sniffers, tone generators, copper / fiber
cable testers, packet generators, etc.
Network Engineering Experience that would be beneficial:
Experience working with Cisco ACI.
Excellent understanding of all routing protocols
Excellent understanding of switching and layer 2 protocols
Experience working with Cisco Client
Experience deploying and managing remote access VPNs.
Good understanding of Microsoft Active directory
Experience working with VMWare NSX
Experience working on Microsoft Azure Virtual networks.
Experience working with NetScout nGenius / Cisco Tetration / VMWare
vRNI
Experience working with network monitoring systems OpManager /
Solarwinds / ScienceLogic.
40%-50% daily travel throughout NYC area.

Good organizational skills.
Strong written/verbal communication skillset.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Solid experience supporting the entire engineering lifecycle,
translating business requirements to technical requirements,
designing, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting optical
transport solutions.
Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with
solutions and/or workarounds.
Ability to understand the requirements and analyze the technical
feasibility and design against the requirements.
