Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Senior HP Non-Stop Software Engineer for a contract position in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: Senior Software Engineer located in the vibrant community of Berkeley Heights, NJ and Alpharetta, GA this role offers a dynamic work environment and a chance to work on mission-critical platforms that support our payments acquiring business.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Work on platforms that process over 350 million payment transactions per day with a peak throughput of over 8,000 transactions per second, ensuring millisecond fast response times.
Contribute to a fast-paced online transaction processing environment, requiring a passionate critical problem solver who can balance platform stability and resiliency along with modern engineering practices and solutions.
Leverage your expertise as a full-time, hands-on software engineer on an online transaction processing (OLTP) application based in C and TAL on the Client NonStop platform.
Deliver quality code to integration testing, certification, and production environments.
Automate testing and deployments through CI/CD processes, playing a QE role as necessary.
Responsible for design, build, and support of aligned application(s) or platform(s).
Own tech stories, participate in code reviews, and support production.
Design performant, efficient, effective, and reusable technical solutions.
Partner effectively with DevOps, Production Support, and peer platform teams.


Qualifications:

10 years of experience in software engineering roles.
7 years of experience with Client NonStop.
5 years of experience with C and TAL.
5 years of experience with Enscribe, Pathway, DDL, and SQL Server MP (NonStop).
3 years of experience in payments processing.
3 years of experience engineering OLTP applications.
Ability to clearly communicate with peers and senior leaders.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Expertise in SQL MX, and OSS.
