Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Full Stack Developer for a contract position in New York, NY. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: Join a dynamic team in the Capital Markets line of business as a Full Stack Developer. We are seeking a highly skilled individual to contribute to our mission of delivering innovative solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fully remote capacity, with the flexibility to be hybrid if you are located in the New York area. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of core business processes and the ability to align software development with our architecture patterns and technology strategy. You will be responsible for writing, configuring, and integrating code that adheres to our standards and aligns with our technology strategy. You will also evaluate new technologies and ensure that our systems meet requirements and promote the development of common assets.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Support research and development of development frameworks and define standards.
Lead and implement initiatives to deliver business objectives.
Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor and track performance, addressing any issues as they arise.
Review the work of other team members as required.
Provide input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
Translate business requirements into detailed design specifications and code.
Interact with key stakeholders to define and deliver requirements.
Assess costs and benefits for different solutions and recommend appropriate designs.
Design solutions, write code, perform unit testing, and facilitate final delivery.
Support production issues, including completing root-cause analysis and diagnosis.
Devise new algorithms and data structures for target environments.
Build solutions that are supportable, scalable, and achieve common assets.
Recommend or automate approaches to improve operational efficiency.
Manage specific project deliverables and outcomes.
Identify opportunities to strengthen development capability through mentoring and building communities of practice.
Stay abreast of industry trends through participation in professional associations and individual learning.
Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems.
Work independently on a range of complex tasks.


Qualifications:

3-4 years of work experience in Web Technologies, IT, or a business environment, and/or a B.S./B.A. in computer science, engineering, information systems, math, or business.
Exceptional skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Experience with Java and TypeScript.
Experience with the Junit Testing Framework.
Experience with building Native Web Components.
Experience with MithrilJS or similar JavaScript libraries.
Experience with AngularJS and writing Vanilla JavaScript applications.
Experience with Webpack or other JavaScript Task Runners.
Proficient level of knowledge in domain.
Knowledge of software development practices, concepts, and technology.
Ability to code with little oversight.
Understanding of the ecosystem that code operates in.
