function.Job DescriptionAs Regulatory Affairs Legal Counsel, a
varied role with responsibilities including:
- Provide regulatory guidance - driving best practice, advising
of changes to regulations, updating internal documentation,
policies and procedures
- Ensuring HIPAA, OIG and OMIG compliance - updating policies,
procedures, driving best practice
- Collecting and submitting data for government audits and
requests
- Contract review and agreement - review, draft, negotiate and
handle contracts including vendor and third party supplier
contracts
- Ad hoc projects including assisting with special investigations
and fair hearing management
- Handling litigation and legal requests, coordinating with the
Head of Legal, managing outside counselThe Successful ApplicantThe
Regulatory Affairs Legal Counsel will have demonstrable skills:
- Juris Doctor
- New York State Bar
- 3+ years managed care experience/ previous work in a managed
care organization
- Strategic, hands-on approach to in-house legal counsel work
within a healthcare non-profit setting
- Able to work well independently as well as collaboratively
within the wider regulatory, legal and compliance functionWhat's on
OfferThe Regulatory Affairs Legal Counsel will receive:
- Competitive salary: $150,000 - $180,000 base salary
