A well-funded AI mental health company has exclusively engaged Samson Rose to help them find a Head of AI to lead their team and product efforts. This role is crucial to the business, and the person they hire will build the first clinically integrated therapy LLMs! The product/service is impactful, making mental healthcare accessible and convenient to the masses. The LLM will treat patients under the supervision and instructions of a clinician, allowing for superior clinical outcomes than a clinician alone could deliver. The founding team is extraordinary (previous AI billion-dollar company founders) and has the who-is-who of psychology involved.Are you interested in working at the intersection of AI research and building end-to-end applications? • They have an initial MVP in the market.The person they are looking for:
• Wants to work in a startup. Has an understanding and excitement of the dynamics of an early-stage startup.
• Has a mix of practical product building/engineering experience with AI research.
• Is a confident, capable, and results-orientated manager who can attract and retain world-class talent.
• Is passionate about mental health and wants to do the work that is impactful for people's lives.
• Someone who wants to win. Not just smart but also has a relentless drive in the work they do.
• Must have worked on challenging ML at its core problems.
• Knows how to tweak models and has experience fine-tuning or training small models, making actual adaptations to models.
• Has a deep familiarity with LLMs and has built things with them before - even in an experimental environment.
• Has experience and abilities to rapidly prototype new models (via supervised fine-tuning or similar methodologies) and validate them.
• Advantage: Experience with RLHF and other feedback methodologies as well as managing red-teaming efforts.
