this roleAbout Us: BlackRock US Private Capital ("USPC") is the
team within BlackRock Global Direct Lending focused on providing
innovative capital solutions to US middle market companies through
directly originated investments that generate attractive
risk-adjusted returns. USPC currently manages approximately $23bn
across multiple investment vehicles, including private funds,
separately managed accounts and BDCs.Position Overview: The role
will be responsible for supporting the US Private Credit Portfolio
Monitoring team in all aspects of the portfolio monitoring
activities and will partner closely with the credit research,
product strategy, corePM, risk, legal and compliance and COO
teams.Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective financial management, monitor metrics of
portfolio companies and report to the team on the same and
contribute to client reporting metrics.
- Prepare and contribute to internal monthly / quarterly
portfolio reviews.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the database on the fund's
investments and coordinate the use of data for various internal and
external reporting requirements.
- Monitor timing of receipt of information / compliance
certificates and other borrower's obligations for all portfolio
companies.
- Valuations & Credit Ratings and Industry Reports
- Provide asset information and respond to Q&A for assets
quarterly valuation / rating process based on audited and reported
results, forecasts and other financial analyses in liaison with the
pricing team, valuation committee and external valuation/rating
providers.
- Liaise with industry market reports producers to disclose (in
accordance with the deal team) BLK USPC private credit track record
and league tables.
- Support to the deal team in the execution of portfolio
companies' amendment / upsize requests and, depending on capacity,
new investment opportunities.Skills, experience and education:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Undergraduate degree with strong academic background.
- Good analytical and data analysis skills.
- Responsive with high attention to detail.
- Motivated team player and flexible in approach with ability to
work independently.
- Ability to prioritize, working to tight deadlines and flexible
to meet workload.
- Keen to question, challenge and improve.
- Some programming skills helpful but not mandatory.For New York,
NY and Los Angeles, CA Only the salary range for this position is
USD$135,000.00 - USD$180,000.00. Additionally, employees are
eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including
healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock
