Job DescriptionOversee the lockout and tags-plus (LO/TP) program, trials preparations, and trials coordination. To influence operational readiness, facilitate procedure creation and maintenance, training, and technological improvements.Responsibilities include:

• Maintain a safe and efficient LO/TP program
• Ensure LO/TP Coordinators are overseeing and approving the application, verification, and removal of LO/TP systems to protect all workers from hazardous energy sources while working on ships and ship sections
• Support test management in coordinating test activities involving hazardous energy sources
• Establish key performance measures for assessing and continuously improving the lockout tags-plus program
• Participate in sea trials as trial coordinator as needed
• Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution
• Conduct quality assurance to ensure compliance with requirements including but not limited to 29CFR1915.89 and SPM-S-21Required/Preferred Education/Training
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor Degree in Technical Field or equivalent experience in Marine or Industrial Manufacturing, Merchant Marine operations, or U.S. Navy operations preferred
  • Graduate BIW Apprentice or PDP preferredRequired/Preferred Experience
    • Power and auxiliary systems operation or equivalent experience/education required 3-5 years FLS II, 5+ years FLS III
    • Marine or industrial environment experience with OSHA Control of Hazardous Energy processes preferred
    • NFPA 70E Electrical Safety process and procedures preferred
    • Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, with proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Sharepoint is preferred
    • Ability to work and communicate cross functionally and with all levels of customers inside and outside the Company
    • Experience working with represented employees preferred
