Position: Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist

Hourly Rate: $60.00/hour
Available Shifts: Monday - Friday, 8am-3pm
Location: New York, NY
The Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the
assessment,
planning, and provision of speech and language rehabilitation
services to people
supported and works with individual/family to provide training
and/or assistive devices to
eliminate or reduce areas of deficit.
Job Duties:
- Conduct bilingual speech and language assessments to determine
developmental levels and needs.
- Analyze test results and prepare written summaries for Early
Intervention (EI), CPSE, CSE, and other regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement individualized speech and language
intervention plans in both English and Spanish.
- Monitor student progress through ongoing assessments and provide
written reports.
- Evaluate oral motor development and ability to intake food
orally; develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Stay up to date on alternative communication techniques and
assistive technology.
- Implement and provide training on the use of Augmentative and
Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
- Maintain accurate daily and monthly attendance records and
progress notes.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding therapy
progress in both English and Spanish.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and intake
evaluations as required.
- Ensure compliance with educational and regulatory
requirements.
- Provide supervision to students and Clinical Fellowship Year
(CFY) candidates as assigned.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate
manner.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Minimum of one year Speech Therapy experience
- Current license in New York State as Speech and Language
Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) required.
- NYSED Certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hard of hearing
(TSHH) is mandated.
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be supervised.
