Location:
Abington Heights School DistrictSubstitute Support Staff Aides fill in for our Building Aides, Office Aides, Classroom Aides, and Special Education Aides (one to one or classroom) during absences.

Rate of Pay:

• Days 0 - 30: $75 per day
• Days 31 - 60: $85 per day
• Days 61+: $95 per day
  You will be asked to work 5.75 hours per day. Should it be a half day, you will be asked to work three hours.
  
  Responsibilities
  
  • Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students
  • Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class
  • Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
  • Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs
  • Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
  • Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans
  • Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Act 24: Arrest / Conviction Report Form
    • Act 126: Recognizing Child Abuse Training
    • Act 34: State Criminal Clearance
    • Act 114: FBI Criminal Clearance
    • Act 151: Child Abuse Clearance
    • Act 71: Suicide Prevention Training
    • Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release - Act 168
    • Tuberculosis Test/Physical
