A global Service Provider company in Manhattan, NY is looking for an IT Technician responsible for handling the engineering and maintenance of networks and servers at client sites. This is direct hire, fulltime position and onsite work setting.

IT Technician Job Responsibilities

Handling implementation and installation of next work - LAN/WAN (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper)
Handling system implementation, operation and management - Hardware/Virtualization/OS Layer of Server and Storage Systems, Server Services, Endpoint
Perform PC Knitting project by creating deployment images using imaging tools and kitting work following the kitting procedure
Perform preventive and remedial maintenance of computer hardware and software
Follow up with customers to ensure the resolution of the issues
Create accurate work reports and documentation in a timely manner
Collaborate with the vendors to solve the system issue/problem if needed.
Managing the inquiry/issue/problem from the beginning to the end and close the case.
Other duties as assigned



IT Technician Skills and experience required

Degree in Computer Science, or related experience
2-3 years of experience in networking, systems, or helpdesk.
Strong knowledge in Virtualization/Cloud/Software-Defined Technologies
Analytical and logical problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills in read, speak and write
Japanese language skill is a big asset but not mandatory
Understanding of fundamental compute operations and functions
Understanding of fundamental computer related security risks and threats
