teams across the US.Job SummaryWe are hiring ALL levels of
Superintendents!This position is responsible for coordinating all
site construction activities. This includes maintaining the highest
quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, administering
good construction safety practices with all on-site activities and
complete the project on schedule and within budget.Responsibilities
and Duties
- Assist the General Superintendent in the development, updating,
modification (as required) and maintenance of the project schedule
including a master schedule, 60-day look ahead schedules for their
assigned trades, and two-week look ahead schedules for their
assigned trades.
- Assure the implementation and continuous maintenance of
corporate safety program requirements in all of the day-to-day
operations on the project.
- Understand and be familiar with the date by which all materials
must arrive on the job and convey that information to the project
superintendent for preparation of the contract items lists and shop
drawing schedules. Assist the General Superintendent in following
deliveries.
- Attend the weekly foreman and superintendent meetings.
- Prepare the daily construction reports in a thorough and timely
manner.
- Understand and ensure risk controls are properly established
and maintained.
- Attend weekly meetings with the project team for purposes of
updates on the status of the fieldwork and communication of any
issues requiring the input or action of others on the project team
and for notification to the project team of issues that may be of
importance or interest to them.
- Establish and maintain a system of document control to ensure
work is being installed per the latest design documentation and
approved shop drawings.
- Communicate any issues requiring additional information from
designers in a timely fashion to the project manager for issuance
of RFI's.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly status report to be
submitted to the client.
- Assure the required permits and approvals from jurisdictional
agencies are secured, posted, and renewed as required before
starting work.
- Work in partnership with the project manager to identify and
address issues of constructability or lack of scope during the
preconstruction phase.
- Participate in the development and final review of scope,
buy-out, and schedule.
- Research, review, and address any owner, landlord, city/state
requirement or procedure to avoid project delays, ensure safety,
and/or ensure client satisfaction.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and
commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics,
phasing, milestones, and inspections.
- Oversee all daily field operations to ensure proper site
safety, construction, progress, quality control and a clean
site.
- Work in partnership with PM to maintain an updated and accurate
project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and
that meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
- Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing
professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors
always instilling this philosophy in project team.
- Maintain and review the punch list process to ensure all are
addressed and executed promptly.Qualifications and Skills
- Requires Engineering, Construction Management or related
Bachelors degree, or possess equivalent years of related
experience.
- Requires working knowledge of various construction disciplines,
union agreements/jurisdiction, cost control, scheduling, safety
regulations, engineering drawings and other documents
required.
- NYC Buildings Construction Superintendent License is a
plus.
- 10-Hour OSHA and 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health
Certificate.
- 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate.Computer
Systems
- Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and
Timberline.Salary Information
- To the extent this position is performed in New York City, the
annual salary range for this role is $100,000 - $200,000.Note: The
compensation range and the description are for ALL levels of
Superintendents.The referenced salary range is based on the
Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual
compensation may vary based on factors such as tier, geographic
location, work experience, market conditions, education/training,
