Optical Receptionist/Optometric Assistant - Luxury Boutique We are seeking an experienced and dedicated and professional individual to join our luxury boutique as an Optometric Technician. Positioned location will vary between the Upper West/East Side, this role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our in-house optometrist, ensuring exceptional patient care and an unmatched boutique experience. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Greet and host patients, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment. Patient Management: Oversee the seamless flow of patients between the optical section and the clinic, introducing them to sales advisors or representatives when necessary. Clinical Assistance: Aid the optometrist in patient check-ins and check-outs, including handling payments. Perform pre-testing using a Fundus Camera, OCT, Visual Field and other equipment of that nature. Order contact lenses, both trials and supplies. Book and manage follow-up appointments. Office Assistance: Answer phone calls, manage emails, and assist with other communication-related tasks. Confirm patient appointments at the start of each day and verify insurance eligibility. Aid in product receiving and inventory management. Optical Services: Conduct minor glasses repairs. Assist in dispensing and troubleshooting glasses. Maintain a pristine and aesthetically appealing optical area, ensuring eyewear and shelving are orderly and clean. Other Tasks: Perform other related duties as needed. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a similar role is desired. A keen eye for detail and a strong focus on patient care. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
