(EOE).Position Summary:Excel Sports Management is seeking a Senior
Accountant with experience in accounting and/or finance to support
the finance team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented,
highly organized, and self-motivated, with a passion for continuous
process improvement. This person will be a key member of the
operations team, assisting with all financial transactions across

you!Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all month-end
financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals,
deferrals, and reclassifications.
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring
accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze general ledger accounts to identify and resolve
discrepancies.
- Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Support variance analysis for key financial statement
accounts.
- Assist with preparing financial reports, supporting schedules,
and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintain records across accounting systems, suggest process
enhancements, and support system implementations as needed.
- Proactively send reminders and follow up with internal teams to
resolve outstanding items, vendor issues, and contract-related
matters.
- Record and review outgoing payments, verify proper approvals,
identify prepaid expenses and assist with other payment
processes.Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
required. CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
- 4+ years of accounting experience, including hands-on month-end
close responsibilities, journal entry preparation, account
reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prior experience in corporate accounting, or a fast-paced
finance environment preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, including
revenue recognition and accrual accounting.
- Ability to manage and execute month-end close tasks
independently, including reconciliations, journal entries, and
financial statement preparation.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite,
QuickBooks, SAP, Workday, or similar ERP systems) preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy
and completeness in financial records.
- Capable of identifying discrepancies, investigating root
causes, and proposing solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and
external partners.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and proactive in
identifying process improvements.Compensation:The pay range for
this position is: $85,000 per year - $95,000 per year. This
position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary
bonus.Note: This position is not eligible for sponsorship.Excel
