ROLEThe Director of Finance will oversee the finance and accounting
functions of the venue, directly supervising Finance Department
employees in the day-to-day functions involved in proper facility
accounting. Responsibilities are coordinated with the General
Manager and the company Regional Director of Finance. This may
include oversight of the Box Office, IT, and/or
purchasing.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage and maintain internal controls and compliance in
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Box Office/Ticketing,
including tax reporting.
- Oversee all Payroll, Accounts Payable, & Accounts Receivable
functions.
- Ensure a timely and accurate month-end closing process.
- Manage budget and control expenses effectively.
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and
enforcing policies and procedures.
- Assist in the design and development of internal control
procedures to safeguard company assets and implement cost-saving
solutions.
- Review and sign off on bank reconciliations, account
reconciliations, financial statements, budget reports, and event
flash reports.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial
statements and externally required financial reports.
- Provide status updates on the financial condition of
attractions by collecting, interpreting, and reporting key
financial data.
- Analyze monthly balance sheet and P&L figures to prepare
comments and expose performance trends.
- Prepare other financial reports and analyses as requested.
- Communicate results of analytical reviews in verbal and written
presentations.
- Create, maintain, and manage budgets and forecasts, including
operating budgets, monthly forecasting, capital budgets, and cash
flow analysis.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial forecasts for comparison
to budget.
- Participate in the planning and administration of the annual
budget process, including detailed reviews of departmental budget
submissions.
- Perform and manage show-related activities such as settlements,
accounting, and event reporting.
- Account for box office/ticketing funds.
- Prepare a daily flash revenue report.
- Perform daily reconciliation of cash and credit card
transactions.
- Work with outside auditors to complete the annual audit and
issue audited financial statements.
- Review and prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned balance
sheet accounts to ensure resolution of reconciling items.
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting, including accounts
payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Oversee the process of recording manual journal entries and
various finance-related processes (e.g., fixed assets,
payroll).
- Coordinate monthly financial statement preparation.
- Manage the facility's cash flow needs, investing idle funds
while maintaining a minimum operating account balance.
- Oversee the inventory process and perform in-depth cost of
goods analysis.
- Provide strategic advice based on analyzing trends in
operations and financial performance.
- Assist senior management with financial analysis and
prospective decisions.
- Build solid working relationships with business and department
leaders.
- Have a thorough understanding of and the ability to review
contracts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by executive leadership.
- Some travel required.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESCarries out
supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM
policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include
interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning,
and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and
disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an

- B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a 4-year college/university
or equivalent
- Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience
- Experience in developing and implementing policies and
procedures as well as financial systems and controls
- Capable of handling all aspects of the accounting cycle and
principles and techniques of venue operation
- Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience in the facilities/arena management industry
(Preferred not Required)
- CPA preferredSKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence change and
drive results
- Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting
- Excellent math skills; high aptitude for figures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and
organizational ability
- Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential

$150,000 plus bonus potential and a generous benefits package that
