Job Description:
Position Purpose:The Director will work with, learn from and
collaborate with the Region VP to develop, and grow assigned
customers. Build new customer pipeline through effective hunting
that enables organic and external revenue and EBITDA objectives to
be achieved. Responsible for developing best in class, strategic,
valued Customer Relationships, having consistent engagement with
Net Suites CRM, building expert negotiation skills by understanding
Universal Pure Commercial Business Rules and having exceptional
project management execution. Effective written and verbal
communication with executive leadership, operations team members
and all levels and departments of the organization.Major tasks,
responsibilities, and key accountabilities:Commercial Execution
- Transform customer needs into acceptable Universal Pure terms
and conditions.
- Facilitate alignment between internal legal counsel as needed
and customer legal function as needed.
- Enhance short- and long-term partnerships to ensure revenue and
EBITDA objectives are achieved.
- Ensures assigned customers are commercialized under current
agreements.
- Demonstrate expert negotiation skills.Customer Management
- Drive consistent, above budget revenue and EBITDA growth of
assigned accounts.
- Develop strategic vision and roadmap that result in
collaborative, growth and value-added partnerships with all
customers.
- Sell up multiple levels into the executive team of customer
base.
- Quarterback commercial, revenue, IT, operations and or other
related, customer projects.
- Ensure appropriate profitability and rate initiatives are
executed for assigned customers as needed.Organic Selling and New
Customer Hunting
- Expand the services provided to the existing and new customer
base such as HPP, Value Added Service, Cold Storage and any other
services that can provide value and stickiness to customers.
- Identify and secure new customers and brands to achieve revenue
and EBITDA objectives.HPP & Value-Added Service Industry
Expertise
- Identify an opportunity to serve industry, customer, or
industry association board or committees to expand Universal Pure
leadership position within the HPP, and the cold chain
industry.Inorganic Growth
- Identify targets for "tuck in" M&A opportunities that
positively impact Universal Pure.
- Play leading role in integration of customers acquired through
M&A for assigned region.Travel Required:50%Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field, sales training and sales
management experience required, Advanced degrees considered a
plus.
- 7-10 years experience working in business development in
management capacity.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing.
- Demonstrated excellence in the areas of negotiation, driving
for results, ensuring accountability, time management,
decision-making, organization savvy, human relations, strategic
ability, negotiations, and project management skills.
- Must be team-oriented and collaborative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in one-on-one
and group settings.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks in high
pressure, fast paced environment.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ensure annual, quarterly and monthly revenue targets are
met.
- Possess strong analytical skills as well as ability to utilize
tools such as Microsoft Excel, etc.
- Requires strong working knowledge of P&L components and
budgetary planning.
- Demonstrated effective formal presentation skills in group
settings.
- Proficient in current technology platforms including Net
Suites, Salesforce, Sharepoint, Webex, Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of Supply Chain Systems such as WMS, TMS, ERP's a
plus.
- Located within a major metropolitan area and/or near a major
airport hub.
- Ability to travel estimated at 50%, including weekends and
holidays as needed.Working Conditions
- Requires the ability to manage stress effectively.
- Requires the ability to plan for travel within Universal Pure
T&E guidelines.
- Requires the ability to travel consistently.
- Requires the ability to effectively manage being pulled in
numerous directions internally and from the customer.
- Requires the ability to work evenings or weekends to complete
deadlines or to move projects forward as needed.
- Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and
receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without
exhibiting behavioral extremes. Must be professional and
levelheaded.
- Requires the performance of work activities including
reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with
others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from
