We are seeking a Senior Web Application Developer with AWS Exposure
with expertise in Microsoft Full Stack Development and AWS Cloud
Architecture experience and to join our small, collaborative web
team. In this role, you'll be managing our AWS EC2 environment,
designing and developing new features for our web applications, and
maintaining existing systems. You will work directly with senior
developers and other team members to ensure the performance,
reliability, and scalability of our web-based platforms, including
sports contests, games, and other interactive web products.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Stack Developer Responsibilities (5+ years of experience):
Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#, ASP.NET ,
and related .NET technologies.
Create, troubleshoot, and enhance frontend features using
JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Develop efficient SQL queries for reporting and working with
relational databases.
Optimize web application performance, scalability, and user
experience across both frontend and backend components.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate contest
websites with external platforms, including CRM systems and
APIs.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive,
user-friendly interfaces for various web applications.
Develop and manage data exports to third-party platforms and APIs
as required.
AWS Cloud Architect Responsibilities (1-3 years of experience):
Design, manage, and optimize AWS infrastructure, primarily
EC2-based environments.
Including familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Implement cloud solutions and ensure the availability, security,
and scalability of web applications hosted on AWS.
Collaborate with developers to integrate AWS services (e.g., S3,
RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch) into web applications.
Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring high
availability and minimizing downtime.
Work to optimize cloud resources to reduce costs while maintaining
peak performance.
Performance Objectives:
First 30 Days:
Familiarize yourself with business operations, IT systems, and
website infrastructure.
Gain a deep understanding of existing cloud and web
applications.
Meet with the senior developer and other team members to align on
goals and ongoing projects.
First 90 Days:
Begin managing AWS infrastructure and EC2 instances for various
websites and web-based applications.
Start working on .NET-based websites and applications, ensuring
smooth deployment, management, and performance.
Optimize website performance by resolving issues and
troubleshooting.
Implement new features for sports contests, instant win games, and
other web applications.
Coordinate with clients and other stakeholders to integrate our
web-based products into their platforms and tools.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data reporting, analytics, and
system updates.
Required Skills and Experience:
AWS Cloud Architecture: 1-3 years of experience working with AWS,
particularly in managing EC2 environments, S3, RDS, Lambda, and
other core AWS services.
Microsoft Full Stack Development: 5+ years of experience with C#,
ASP.NET (Core and MVC), and SQL development for building scalable
web applications.
Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for developing dynamic,
responsive user interfaces.
Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server,
MySQL) and SQL query optimization.
Experience with RESTful API integration and data exports to
external systems.
Familiarity with modern DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, Git,
etc.) for automated deployments.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on
performance optimization.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a
small, agile team.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with
both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certification (Solutions Architect or Developer) is a plus.
Experience with serverless computing using AWS Lambda.
Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or
Vue.js.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
Prior experience in the sweepstakes, gaming, or entertainment
industries is a plus.
