Job Description:
A company is looking for a Personal Lines Underwriter.
Key Responsibilities
Accepts, rejects, or modifies new and renewal business for Personal
Lines to ensure profitability
Reviews risk acceptability and makes subjective decisions based on
underwriting guidelines
Develops relationships with agents and manages a complex book of
business for growth and profitability
Required Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, preferably in insurance
One to two years of underwriting or relevant experience
Knowledge of Personal Lines products and state regulatory
differences
Proficient in underwriting and actively pursuing professional
designations preferred
Demonstrates negotiation skills and the ability to manage workload
independently
