Job Description:

The Eden School is currently seeking a full time School Nurse to provide care within our private school for students ages 3-21 with autism spectrum disorder.RESPONSIBILITY SNAPSHOTAdminister medication/treatment when necessary for students that attend school according to district boards of education policy.Physical assessment of every student to determine wellness.Care for sick and injured pupils and arrange for appropriate course of action.Assist with physical examinations for: (a) sports participants, (b) working paper applicants, (c) child study team referrals.Maintain student health records, including medication history.Maintain record of annual physical examinations for all employees.Assist with annual Blood Borne Pathogens in-serviceMaintain appropriate first aid supplies in the school building and in the vans.Conduct CPR training for staff as neededAnnually conduct audiometric screenings for all students in conjunction with the Speech and Language Department.Conduct bi-annual vision screenings on all pupils.Provide special health care and related services to meet the needs of students.Review immunization records for all students.Maintain compliance with Department of Education guidelinesMUST HAVESCredentials:Minimum of an RN requiredSchool Nurse certification preferredExperience:2 years' nursing experienceExperience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilitiesCPR/AED certifiedSpecialized Skills and Knowledge:Ability to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of both theory and practice of health careProven commitment to helping individuals with autism and their familiesDemonstrated ability to ensure organizational compliance with contractual/regulatory bodiesDemonstrated ability to effectively interact with individuals and groups, internal and external to the Eden Family of Services, to achieve desired resultsDemonstrated ability to analyze an issue or problem and make recommendations for an effective and efficient resolutionExcellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent presentation skillsWhat you'll love about EdenBenefits: Eden offers a well-rounded benefits package including medical and dental, life insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and more.Growth: In addition to tuition assistance, we have many opportunities for team building and professional development.Core Values: Believe More + Do What it Takes + Work Together + Show Compassion + Be TrueBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Professional development assistance* Referral program* Retirement plan* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* PediatricsPhysical Setting:* SchoolSchedule:* Monday to FridayWork Location: In person
