As an interdisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and community builders, we work hand in hand with our clients to realize enduring designs - to create space for what matters.Watts is seeking a Senior Architect to join our team. This position will be based in New York City. As Senior Architect, you will be responsible for working closely with clients and managing the design team as you lead architectural projects from concept through construction.Responsibilities and Duties

• Work directly with Clients and Stakeholders to understand expectations, develop the design, and implement construction documents in a timely manner.
• Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
• Oversee an inter-disciplinary team including internal staff and external subconsultants.
• Maintain dynamic communications with clients, staff, consultants, and contractors.
• Oversee the development of contract documents, perform quality reviews, and coordinate the work with each discipline for comprehensive project delivery.
• Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering their professional growth and enhancing their technical skills.
• Prepare construction document packages independently.Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
• Experience with School Construction Authority (SCA) preferred.
• Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and the architectural process, from design to construction.
• Knowledge and experience with public-sector work including industrial, commercial, and educational sectors.
• Strong graphic, written, and oral communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture preferred.
