ResponsibilitiesRelated is a leading residential property
development company in New York City, committed to the safety,
comfort, and well-being of our residents. With extensive portfolios
of diverse apartment buildings across the city, we take pride in

striving for excellence in risk management and emergency
preparedness.We are seeking an individual, knowledgeable and
experienced in All - Hazards Emergency Incident Response & Incident
Management, in Physical Security, Fire Life Safety, Special Event
Security, & Executive Protection procedures to assist the Director
of Tactical Operations in overseeing day to day operations across
multiple locations. In addition, proficiency in conducting site
surveys and needs assessments to evaluate, design, implement, and
manage comprehensive physical security and incident response
activities across our commercial and residential properties in New
York City. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with company
standards and industry "best practices," liaison with first
responders, and lead initiatives to ensure a safe and secure
environment across the Related portfolio.Key Responsibilities:
- All Hazards Emergency Response and Incident Management:
Participate in coordinating response to, investigating, and
mitigating emergency incidents of varying size and scope including
active shooter/hostile intruder, crimes in progress, quality of
life conditions, medical emergencies, and any other activities
intended to disrupt normal campus operations.
- Personnel Management: Overseeing day to day operations of
security staff including a team of highly trained armed public
safety consultants as well as managing and formulating policies and
standard operating procedures.
- Communication: Serving as the primary liaison with the NYPD,
FDNY, & EMS as well as any other Federal, State and Local partners
engaged in response to emergency incidents occurring within the
given area of responsibility.
- Plan Development: Working in conjunction with property managers
and vendors to establish detailed Security and Emergency Action
Plans (FS/EAPs), tailored to each building's structure, layout, and
occupancy.
- Corporate and Event Security: Participate in planning
activities and execution to support and manage event security and
executive protection protocols based on events and activations
occurring within Related properties.
- Inspection Coordination: Assist residential property managers
and related staff by conducting site surveys and needs assessments
to ensure building systems such as surveillance systems, intrusion
detection, access control, and other physical security measures are
operational. Compile findings and subsequently make recommendations
and ensure compliance with recommendations in order to limit
vulnerabilities and mitigate risk.
- Training: Cultivate a professional relationship and coordinate
with our Related staff and tenants to provide the delivery of
training presentations on relevant topics such as physical security
best practices, Active Shooter Response, Incident management,
CPR/First Aid, Stop the Bleed, and Fire life safety topics.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of drills,
inspections, and compliance certifications for audits.Benefits:

$125,000 + Discretionary BonusQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's
degree in a Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Security
Management, or a related field (preferred).Certifications: New York
State Armed Guard License, CPR/First Aid, and additional
certifications from organizations or agencies such as the Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) ICS and NIMS certifications,
National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA), National Fire Service
Academy (NFA), Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)
certifications are preferred.Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years
of supervisory experience in security field, special operations
police experience, emergency management or firefighting. Property
management operations field experience as a security supervisor,
preferably in a high-rise residential or commercial property is
beneficial.Knowledge: Strong understanding and advanced knowledge
of security principles and technologies, emergency response
protocols, personnel management, and risk management principles in
a corporate environment.Skills: Excellent communication and
organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite,
demonstrated ability to be a team player and collaborate with
cross-functional partners to promote and reinforce a culture of
safety and security, ability to lead training sessions and
emergency drills, experience in event security planning and
execution, experience in Executive Protection, and proficiency in
conducting site surveys and needs assessments.
