The role of the Sr. Production Manager is to ensure that production is made and delivered smoothly, efficiently, safely, and within budget against the designated deadline.Working alongside the Director of Northeast Region Production, the Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic and organizational planning of the production process. This involves managing a slate of programming, which includes both in-house-produced material and external commissions through production partners. You may manage a team, including both internal and external coordinators, to ensure the delivery of the programming against the designated deadline.Most of what Production Managers do is common sense: having an eye for detail and addressing issues when things don't quite go to plan! Involved in every stage of production from initial planning, budgeting, schedules, and contract negotiations, the Production Manager ensures that all contractual obligations are met during and after final delivery.All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:PRODUCTION STRATEGY

• Plays a strategic role, contributing to the development and implementation of production strategies, resource allocation, and process improvement initiatives.
• The Senior Production Manager is responsible for resolving complex issues and ensuring projects stay on track.CONTENT DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION
• Oversees every stage of production from initial planning, budgeting, schedules, and contract negotiations.
• On-site production management, including management of production crews, scheduling, budget and risk management, and legal & risk compliance.
• Collaborates with key stakeholders, safety and risk management, finance, post-production operations, production technologies, talent, legal, and all other internal departments to ensure the highest quality production.
• Manages relationships with external production partners, talent, and agencies, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.TEAM MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
• Provides leadership and mentorship to Production Managers and their teams, fostering their professional development and growth.
• Manages the production management team on day-to-day responsibilities and areas of focus.
• Drives innovation and continuous improvement throughout the production lifecycle.
• Responsible for sourcing and developing a strong network of experienced production partners, vendors, and talent to work with.STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION
• Communicates and collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management, other departments, and external partners, acting as a production representative with 3rd parties, production partners, and development executives.
• Manages a slate of programming from development through to delivery, consisting of in-house, commissioned, live, and non-live programming.
• Identifies revenue responsibilities and builds cash flow models to ensure financial compliance.
• Conducts departmental forecasting of current projects, collecting and communicating all information from external partners and internal productions.
• Communicates project budget, budget risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders both in the regions and in Santa Monica.
• Provides regular updates on project status and progress to senior management.
