Job Description:
Role OverviewNourish in Long Island City, New York is seeking a
dynamic individual for the role of Food Operations Manager.The Food
Operations Manager will be responsible for the forecasting and
planning of the operations needs for food and supplies, order,
receive, and inventory of all products and supplies for our client.
Produce and supervise food production for daily menu, meal and
catering request delivery and execution in a timely manner.Other
duties include but are not limited to:
- Satisfying the needs of the client and customer by providing
high-quality, cost-effective food service.
- Maintaining ethos food standard programs, ensuring quality and
consistency to meet the needs of the customers at that
location.
- Participating in and leading/mentoring employee training and
development programs specific to the account needs and managerial
expectations.
- Producing and supervising, directing and scheduling the
activities of unit food service personnel following the traditions
and values of the organization.
- Maintaining accurate and timely accounting and financial
records.
- Controlling and monitoring all food and operational expenses
with the development of pars and managing the ordering, purchasing,
and inventory of such items.
- Ensuring sanitary and safe operation in accordance with
Federal, State, and local health regulations, including following
HACCP guidelines to prevent foodborne illnesses.
- Establishing effective communication channels with customers
and client management to provide a system of feedback on the
overall success of the operation, leading to operational
improvements.
- Understanding contractual service requirements.What You'll Do

Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent
experience. Minimum Management Experience - 2 years. Minimum
Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary
services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering
services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
