Job Description:

Skilled Safety Management is currently hiring Qualified Site Safety Person with atleast 5 years of experience as a Qualified Safety Person. for Facade projects to work along with Site Safety Manager. We are looking for individuals skilled in conducting and documenting health and safety inspections to verify that all safety rules and regulations are enforced. Full time positions are available must have atleast 5 years of experience as a Qualified Safety Person. Must have the following certs if not please don't apply. 30 hour OSHA 40 hour Site Safety Manager Course 62 Hour Site Safety Training 32 hour Supported Scaffold 32 hour Suspended Scaffold Responsibilities Duties as required by Chapter 33 of the 2014 NYC Building Code Duties as required by Chapter 8 and Chapter 14 of the FDNY Code Duties as required by 1926 OSHA Standards for Construction Ensure compliance for the safety of site workers and general public Develop safety kick-off presentations and conduct on-site orientations and pre-shift meetings Conduct daily site safety inspections, safety assessments and safety audits Investigate all accidents and complete all required paperwork Conduct risk assessments Make recommendations concerning the modification, improvement, or removal of any company equipment, facilities, or machinery that is hazardous to employee safety or health Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested by management or customer Serve as company liaison with Overseeing Municipalities, OSHA, Insurance carriers and other regulatory agencies Maintain all safety related documentation Education/Qualifications: Fluent in English, written and verbal Ability to teach and train others on safety program Ability to plan and implement projects Ability to identify known potential exposures and recommending corrective action Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Experience in Construction management Working knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques and methods Knowledge of OSHA-CFR 1926 "Construction Safety & Health", the New York City Department of Buildings Construction Safety requirements, Chapter 33 and FDNY Code Chapter 14 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Schedule: Day shift License/Certification: 40 Hour Site Safety Manager (Required) 62 hour Site Safety Training (Required) 32 hour Supported Scaffold (Required) 32 Hour Suspended Scaffold (Required) Ability to Commute: Brooklyn, NY 11220 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Brooklyn, NY 11220: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 100% (Preferred) Work Location: In person Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 5 - 10 years Salary: $30 - $40 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
